LPFP is definitely maxed out. Rail pressure begins to significantly drop past 6k RPM. I will be be upgrading my fuel pump in the near future, but right now I've only gone above 6k RPM for logging purposes. Boost is off target by about 2psi, not sure if this has to do with fuel pressure because it is off target throughout most of the RPM range. Besides boost off slightly off target, I’m having issues with WGDC pegged at 100 for too long and boost taking 1.5-2+ seconds to hit target. This isn't really apparent in this log, so I've uploaded three other logs of moderate driving that better illustrate the issue I'm having.
1. I’m testing my idle vacuum today to make sure I have the correct BOV spring because I still feel/hear as though I have a small boost leak. There's a quiet wooshing sound on light throttle just below the positive boost line, and a rushing/surging sound under full throttle and high boost. Could this also be causing issues with WGDC? Am I correct to assume I should only be hearing the DCI's sucking in air when WOT?
UPDATE: idle vacuum is 20 inHg. I'm running whatever spring came stock with the TiAL BOV, please let me know if it needs to be changed. I’ve boost leak smoke tested the car twice though the manifold tap for the BOV line and confirmed no boost leaks with the car off.
2. Otherwise, logs look good and the car feels good. I sometimes get some hesitation/bogs under moderate throttle but I have yet to capture that on a log. Spark plugs are brand new (<1k miles) NGK one step colder, and Eldor ignition coils with about 30k miles on them. Unsure what to make of this so let me know if anything catches your attention that could cause this in the other logs.
3. Experiencing wastegate rattle on ACCEL, but it is NOT noticeable on DECEL. After doing a little research (as I'm not too knowledgeable on wastegates and their functioning), is this a result of improper actuator arm preload? From what I've gathered, it would seem to explain the WGDC and boost target symptoms I'm having. Please let me know if this is something I need to look into ASAP. From what I remember, rattle on accel has been apparent very shortly after the first couple drives with the new turbos. I didn't think much of it at first but since researching it seemed important to mention.
3.5 I also attached two logs where I was nearly WOT in 1/2/3rd gear and then ended up with multiple misfires on multiple or all cylinders except #2, depending on the log. It looks fuel pressure related unless you figure otherwise. In the log, I ease off accelerator pedal shortly after misfires start. Hopefully this makes it easier to spot.
4. Please let me know if there's any more data I should gather or tests to run to help draw a conclusion. Thanks!
*I turned OFF the option to adjust throttle sensitivity in the flashing options thru MHD for this log. It is set to 100 for the other logs, which I've indicated, but turning it on/off didn't seem to make any difference with the issues I'm having.
