BMW is running lean. In order to diagnose, I ran the car to record fuel trim levels at different RPMs. |

I replaced my car's catalytic converters following a review of O2 sensor data. This log reflects an initial drive session performed after the replacement. |

This run was conducted to monitor the downstream (post-catalytic converter) O2 sensors (e.g. sensor 2 on each bank). Ideally, voltage readings for these sensors should remain stable in the range of 0.6 to 0.8 volts. Significant fluctuations or consistently low voltage may indicate failing or inefficient catalytic converters.

Context: Engine was warm at the start of logging. The car was left idling for the first ~2 minutes, followed by normal driving—vehicle performance was smooth during this period. A few hard throttle pulls were performed, and the car was taken onto the parkway (vehicle speeds began to exceed 40 mph). During a subsequent attempt to accelerate, the engine began to strain. Shortly afterward, the "trifecta" warning lights appeared, the vehicle started to decelerate, and RPMs began bouncing between 1500–1800 RPM. I proceeded to turn off the car and turn it back on, "trifecta" lights went away and proceeded to drive the car.
