I have the gear indicator light on my dash which tells you what gear you're in. It is correct for first through fourth gear but in 5th and 6th gear it will still indicate 4th gear even though obviously the car is in 5th gear or 6th gear. I don't know if that is something you can fix but I thought I'd let you know.
