This is monitoring the oil temperature PIDs when the car is cold-started (sitting for several hours, coolant temp had dropped to 39C) with the sensor UNPLUGGED from the start. You can see there is temperature modeling going on (as opposed to when unplugged once up to temp, it just seemed to keep the last known good temperature). In the second PID (dropdown menu), the sensor gets plugged back in while running.

None of these values completely drop out when unplugging the oil temp/level sensor. The ECU seems to keep the last known good value. While unplugged, the dash reads "---" just like when it is below 120F or about 49C. When it gets plugged back in (second log in the drop-down), the value for "toil" and "toil_raw" jump from 90C to 94C immediately.
